Software Engineer (Java/Spring Boot), Sword Services Greece S.A., GR

Sword Services Greece S.A. is seeking to recruit a high caliber, energetic individual to join our newly established Software Development team in Greece as Software Engineer (Java/Spring Boot). The successful candidate will work in a multinational environment on a multitude of tasks supporting our core business in large International Information Systems. The company is currently expanding its activities in Greece offering an optimum career advancement opportunity for the successful candidate who should combine a relevant educational and professional background, with enthusiasm and eagerness.

What you will do...

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Spring Boot / Java EE and cloud-native applications;
• Build and evolve Microservices Architecture;
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, and Engineers to define and deliver technical solutions;
• Estimate development effort and break it down into deliverables;
• Write clean, maintainable code and technical documentation;
• Create and execute automated unit tests (JUnit);
• Deploy and configure applications in cloud (AWS) or on-prem environments, in collaboration with DevOps.

What is your experience...

• BSc's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot or Java EE;
• Strong software engineering foundations (OOP, design patterns, clean code practices);
• Ability to draft clear and structured technical documentation;
• Excellent command of English language, both written and spoken.

Experience in the following will be considered as an asset:

• Knowledge in Cloud & DevOps: AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (Git, Maven, Jenkins);
• Knowledge of data storage and processing: JSON, XML, SQL (Oracle, MySQL), NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB), PDF generation.
