North Point Technology’s Spatial Solutions team has an exciting opening for a Systems Engineer with strong Windows system administration skills to help support cloud-based systems that power mission-critical operations. Our team manages, operates, and sustains multiple geospatial solutions deployed in the cloud.
We’re looking for a self-starter who thrives in technical environments and brings experience in installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of cloud-based systems—as well as Citrix-based desktops in cloud environments. Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

Take a leadership role in driving system changes and improvements.

Work directly with government and contractor POCs to troubleshoot and resolve complex incident reports (INCs).

Proactively recommend configuration changes that enhance performance and reliability.
-
Deploy security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments.
-
Update and maintain critical databases with new data.
-
Develop and update operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPs.

Your expertise will be key in ensuring the stability
Required Skills/Experience:

BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline

Active Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI post-hire.

DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or higher).

Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Windows administration.

Hands-on experience completing security remediation tasks following security scans.

Citrix administration experience.

Knowledge of Systems Engineering, Architecture, Software Development, and Sustainment practices.

Proficiency with software development or integration projects in cloud, SOA, web services, or virtualization environments.

Familiarity with AWS architectures and technologies (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances, etc.).

Experience with Git/GitLab or other version control tools.

Experience creating Systems Engineering documentation (VDDs, diagrams, etc.).

Familiar with team collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Willingness to take on additional tasks as assigned.
Preferred Skills/Experience

Prior experience providing systems engineering support for geospatial products.

Citrix certification(s).
-
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, DevOps Engineer, etc.).

SAFe Agile Certification.
