This Video Editor will join an In-House AV Creative Studio embracing a future where our creative storytelling contributes to our goal of becoming the world’s most beloved video streaming company. In this role, you will work on promos, sizzles, trailers and social content for Prime Video Brand and Marketplace campaigns and Amazon MGM Studios titles. You will edit dynamic and engaging video marketing and content across a variety of executions. You will also brainstorm, ideate, script, music supervise, sound design, mix and present your work. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, from other editors, designers, creative directors, strategists, post producers, cross-functional partners to creative operations management. You will participate in regular AV team creative reviews and provide feedback to help raise the creative bar and share technical expertise. This full-time role is required to work on-premise, not remotely.

Key job responsibilities

  • Raise the bar creatively, delivering best-in-class marketing AV that surprise and delight our global customers
  • Develop, edit, and deliver on the following types of content including, but not limited to, 360 marketing assets supporting brand-specific multi-title campaigns, brand statement campaigns, single-title theatrical and streaming campaigns, short form content for social channels, and sizzle reels.
  • Insist on the highest standards, meeting and exceeding marketing objectives through compelling and innovative video creative
  • You will brainstorm, write copy, develop motion graphic elements, produce, pitch, present work, share and incorporate feedback.
  • Tackle problems and earn trust with your team, partners and stakeholders
  • Work under pressure and within tight deadlines on multiple concurrent projects while being flexible to changing business and technical conditions
  • Edit in both a supervised and unsupervised capacity
  • Maintain edit bay for optimal editing workflow
  • Maintain and organize backups of all current and ongoing projects.
  • Properly deliver and QC for all formats
  • Prioritize projects according to business and team priorities

About The Team

The In-House AV Studio lives within the Prime Video-US Creative Production org that is the center of creative excellence for the PV Brand. We ideate, develop and execute bar-raising and evocative creative assets that amplify our Amazon MGM Studios Originals and Prime Video’s unique identity and value proposition to drive brand love. We deliver an always-on and consistent marketing presence across all customer touchpoints.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years editing experience at an in-house agency or external creative agencies cutting trailers and promos
  • 5+ years of creatively driving compelling AV and execution or projects at an agency or in-house creative team experience
  • 3+ years working in theatrical and/or broadcast television/streaming spaces
  • Experience working in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) as related to Premiere
  • Strong experience in sound mixing and sound design software such as ProTools
  • Must provide a current demo reel or link showcasing previous video editing work and participate in a Portfolio Review

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery
  • Experience managing creative on a project (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)
  • Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
