is looking to hire a skilled
Trailer Technician in Grove City, OH!
The Trailer Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of Class 7 - 8 trailers and will operate vehicles and test all working parts in various functions to ensure proper operation.
Seeking a seasoned Trailer Tech with strong experience in structural trailer repair including crossmembers, doors, floors, and roofs. Must be proficient in DOT inspections and air brake repairs.
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! PAY: $21-$30(PLUS MONTHLY BONUS)
Potential Sign-On Bonus up to $2,500!
2nd Shift:TUESDAY-SATURDAY 1:00PM-9:30PM
3rd Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 9:00pm-5:30am OR Sunday-Thursday 9:00pm-5:30am

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
What the Technician role looks like:
-
Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
-
Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
-
Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
-
Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
-
Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicle
-
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
-
Perform other duties as required
Key Competencies & Education
What our ideal candidate looks like:
-
Must have at least 2 years' experience performing vehicle and trailer maintenance.

Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
-
Must be able to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds

Must provide own hand tools
-
Perform DOT inspections

Basic computer skills
-
Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
Working Conditions

Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.

Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.

Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
-
Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
-
Ability to move and position heavy objects

Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
-
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
