Tournament Coordinator

Location: Ocotillo Golf Club - Chandler, AZ

Ocotillo Golf Club is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Tournament Coordinator to oversee the planning and execution of golf tournaments and events. The Tournament Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for participants while contributing to the overall success of the club's golf programs.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of golf tournaments, including logistics, scheduling, and participant communication.
• Collaborate with the Golf Operations Manager and Director of Instruction to align tournament schedules with overall golf club activities.
• Manage tournament participant registrations, including processing entries, collecting fees, and maintaining accurate participant records.
• Communicate tournament details, rules, and schedules to participants in a timely manner.
• Oversee on-site tournament operations, including player check-in, starting procedures, and scoring.
• Work with Pro Shop staff and starters to ensure a smooth flow of play and adherence to tournament guidelines.
• Coordinate the procurement of prizes and awards for tournament winners.
• Work with sponsors and donors to secure additional prizes and giveaways.
• Assist in the marketing and promotion of tournaments through various channels, including the club's website, social media, and newsletters.
• Collaborate with the Marketing department to create promotional materials.
• Assist in budget preparation for each tournament, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to financial targets.
• Provide financial reports and analysis after each event.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback from participants and identify areas for improvement.
• Make recommendations for enhancing the overall tournament experience.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in tournament coordination or event planning, preferably in a golf club setting.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of golf tournament rules and formats.
• Familiarity with golf industry trends and customer service best practices.
