Summary:

Compose clear and coherent technical information, discuss enterprise level products and services, write, record and publish multi-media content for users, and promote knowledge transfer at RF-SMART.  You will be responsible for creating and maintaining customer-facing help material needed for product line(s) we support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop a thorough understanding of company products and their individual audiences.
• Meet regularly with product owners, managers, developers, and SMEs to discuss upcoming projects, releases, and technical issues.
• Leverage emerging AI documentation technologies and methodologies
• Research, write, and proof product and service documentation for internal and external use.
• Determine the most effective way to present information and instructions to ensure a high degree of reader comprehension.
• Capture or create graphics and illustrations to complement documents and presentations.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to share information and assist in creating product-specific collateral.
• Create instructional customer facing videos.
• Drive effective information flow by cultivating strong partner relationships and implementing proactive communication strategies.
• Maintain existing articles, documents, and FAQs as necessary.
• Create and adapt to project schedules and meet deadlines.
• Invest time into professional development to remain up-to-date on technology and product trends.

 REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years professional writing and editing experience. Writing and editing documentation for software or technology is preferred.
• Exceptional written communication skills – grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
• The ability to understand and explain complex concepts.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with basic HTML.
• Experience using topic-based authoring software or content management systems, such as MadCap Flare, WordPress, Adobe, Fresh Desk or Confluence etc.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
