Compensation : $55–$62/hour | Equivalent to ~$114,400 – $128,960/year

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer II to join a global financial technology team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll design and develop distributed, scalable systems that facilitate financial decisions worth billions of dollars annually. The right candidate will thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, enjoy working with big data, and excel at solving complex technical challenges.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain distributed, multi-tiered systems that power global financial decisions
• Develop scalable services with high availability, low latency, and strong performance
• Work with large-scale data to deliver insights and automation in financial operations
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to define requirements and deliver solutions
• Solve ambiguous, undefined problems with creative and scalable approaches
• Apply object-oriented design and optimization techniques to drive performance and efficiency

Must Have

• 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language (Java, C++, or C#) including object-oriented design
• Internship or professional software development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Nice to Have

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Background in distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases
• Experience with optimization mathematics (linear and nonlinear programming)
• Ability to articulate complex technical challenges and solutions effectively
• Comfortable working in undefined or abstract problem spaces
