Software Engineer AI Integration (Microsoft Azure), coverletter.tech, RO

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our AI project on Microsoft Azure . You will be responsible for software development and systems integration, building AI-driven solutions that are reliable, scalable, and high-performing.

Location: candidates must be based in Romania, full remote role

Contract: B2B, 4 months with extension possible

Rate: 35 EUR/H

Tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Node.js and related frameworks.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and other web services.
• Integrate AI/ML models into backend systems in close collaboration with other engineers.
• Develop APIs and data pipelines to deliver AI model predictions and insights to various applications.
• Work with large datasets, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Write clean, well-documented, testable code and contribute to best practices for backend development and AI integration.
• Support production deployments, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and conduct code reviews to foster a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering , or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer .
• Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML models in production.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, OpenAI, AI Vision).
• Proficiency with Node.js .
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and lead when needed.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering , or a related field.
• Previous experience with AI integrations and large-scale data solutions.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques and managing large data volumes.
