Based @ The Ellinikon Offices
We are seeking a seasoned technology professional to lead the software development of The Ellinikon Digital Services Platform.
He/She will be a member of the Digital Development Team of the Property, Facility and Experience Management Unit.
Job Summary
The Software Development Senior Manager will be responsible for engineering practices, test driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment. He/She will manage software development teams and engage in hand-on coding.
In detail, the Software Development Senior Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Platform architecture and technology:
- Execution and visionary force behind the digital platform
- Own the strategic how, who and when of the software delivery
- Create a modular and scalable solution
- Provide deep insights into newest tech stacks and trends, able to articulate and make build vs buy decisions as well technology selection decisions
- Ensure cyber and data security compliance
- Understand, implement and integrate enterprise solutions covering ERP/CRM
- Own the overall technological architecture of the products, as well its short- and long-term evolution
- Lead quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Engineering KPIs
- Supervise engineering team (in-house and/or external), set practices in clean coding, test driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment
- Be hands-on and "lead by doing" when needed, may it be in coding, architecture design or team management to illustrate best practices
- Technology and business strategy alignment:
- Define and create visibility on technology and architecture vision and roadmap in-line with business strategy
- Work with the Product team to align product roadmaps with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack and architecture
- Challenge technical constraints and procedures through pragmatic solutions to maximize value for the business
- Provide input on feasibility and cost impact
- Manage and optimize software vendor &partner relationships and contracting
You will be a successful candidate for our job opening, if you can identify yourself with the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
A Master’s degree or additional certifications is a plus
Professional Experience:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in technical management, system and software architecture, software development
- Has been accountable for the build and delivery of digital experiences with high mean active user volume
- Experienced in managing high value budget
- Proven programming skills in web technologies (like Java, Ruby on Rails, Node.JS)
- Deep knowledge in cloud technologies and DevOps approach
- Track record in leading the build of scalable cloud-native products using modern and stable technologies
