Payment Acceptance (PA) Strategy and Propositions sits within the Client Solutions COE in the Payment Acceptance team in EBB and provides a dedicated focus on delivering bespoke Client Solutions and Strategic Product Marketing Propositions, both for new and existing, to enable the delivery of strategic objectives around growth and retaining market share. To derive maximum value for Payment Acceptance and CBA we will have a dedicated team focusing on orchestrating propositions with the PA Product Crews day- to- day together with the Service Designers and will hand these to the GTM & Sales Mobilisation team to execute against. This team is responsible together with the GTM & Sales Mobilisation team to bring prioritised propositions to market to enable market leadership and scale.

Your Impact:
 

The Payment Acceptance Senior Product Marketing Manager is responsible for working with Product Owners and Designers day-to-day to bring product propositions to life. This role will enable definition of the propositions value, conduct market and competitive analysis and work closely with the product teams to deliver products that align with market need. You will commence your analysis considering a proposition level and create content developing messaging that positions the product strategically including case studies, white papers, flyers, sales toolkits. It’s critical that you work closely with Product owners, Product managers, Crew leads and Designers.

Your reporting lines and team:
 

You will work in a small but dedicated team of Product and Proposition Marketing Managers that supports Strategy and Propositions across the Payment Acceptance ecosystem and will report into the Chapter Area Lead Strategy and Propositions. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Drive deep product marketing capability into Payment Acceptance through bringing industry knowledge and capability into the direct and broader team
  • Work closely with product development teams to deliver vertical propositions that align with market needs and will sell and support market share growth and drive demand and usage of the propositions & products
  • Define the value propositions of these offerings conducting and leveraging market and competitive analysis and considering the service addressable market, unique selling propositions, and messaging for each proposition
  • Understand and document the buyer’s journey, be the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria. Define segments within our buyer space to inform sales and GTM strategies.
  •  Create impactful sales and marketing enablement tools including pitch decks, demo videos, whitepapers, flyers, blog posts, website uplifts, etc.
  • Work in a quarterly rhythm with go to market and support the go to market plans to deliver, plan and iterate based on customer and business feedback, target acquisition figures, value proposition, leveraging channels and interventions that prove impact
  • Have a firm view of the competitive landscape and look to narrate and differentiate our value proposition in market in a way that will drive acquisition.
  • Build and maintain productive and effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels (i.e. Product, Product marketing, Acquisition, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, Partnerships, Risk, Bankers, TBS, NBC SBB team etc.) 
  • Protect the Bank’s reputation and represent the bank at internal and external forums.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Experience in product marketing for payments, merchant solutions, or e-commerce; exposure to verticals like transit, education, retail, hospitality, or government is a plus.
  • Ability to create impactful sales and marketing enablement tools including pitch decks, demo videos, whitepapers, flyers, blog posts, website uplifts.
  • Strong B2B product marketing background with a technical foundation and understanding of the tech landscape.
  • Ability to design and deliver compelling propositions and successful messaging that drive growth.
  • Superior strategic thinking and critical analysis skills to shape GTM strategies using both quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and navigating complex environments.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Self-starter who thrives on delivering outcomes and learning.
  • Understanding of merchant industry dynamics, trends, and regulatory considerations.
