The Everyday Business Banking (EBB) team supports the full spectrum of customers’ everyday banking needs from the smallest businesses to the largest corporates. We have accountability for Commercial Deposits, Merchants as well as managing the end-to- end business customer experience. The team is also responsible for the delivery of analytical capabilities to support our business customers.

You will work in the squad responsible for the product and portfolio management of the Bank’s business transaction accounts, this includes: Business Transaction Account; Society Cheque Account; Stream Working Capital Transaction Account, Standard Business Cheque Account and pooling facilities.

Do Work That Matters

As a Senior Product Manager (PM) you will be responsible and accountable for the end-to-end product management of Corporate transactional products for relationship managed large businesses including State Governments and related entities. 

You will also be working with the broader squad to deliver customer and strategic outcomes that align with the Crew OKRs.

You will leverage your domain and industry knowledge, thought leadership, and strategic mindset to drive outcomes across the product lifecycle including launching new features and initiatives, monitoring and driving product performance, meeting key regulatory, operational risk and product governance requirements, optimising customer experience, and driving change across the business.

More specifically you will,

  • Work with the Product Owner and the team or Product Managers to develop the product strategy and work with frontline, technology, risk and operations stakeholders to bring the strategy to life.

  • Analyse the financial and non-financial performance of the portfolio to derive insights about the products, their customers and opportunities for future enhancements. 

  • Work with different new Technological and System teams to uplift or build new capabilities.

  • Work with frontline team as well as other internal business units to scope, analyse and meet customer needs

  • Be responsible for the implementation of product changes and enhancements that add value and optimise their efficient delivery.

  • Be responsible for proactively managing risks associated with the safe delivery of the product. This includes identifying and resolving complaints, issues, incidents and embedding operational processes and controls that improve the end-to-end control environment.

  • Manage change to continuously improve the product offering and processes to facilitate the overall customer experience.

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people

We are looking for people who have

  • Experienced Product Manager with 7+ years of relevant experience in financial services, product management and/or process improvement.

  • Experienced in working with different new Technological and System team to uplift or build new capabilities.

  • Demonstrated People Leadership experience.

  • Risk Mindset –All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.

  • Essential - Proven success in leading and executing a defined product strategic roadmap.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication

  • Successful change agent with a strong bias to challenging the status quo and guiding your product team through changes.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management capabilities. Success in the role requires the ability to lead and influence without direct authority.

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities – have the motivation and be comfortable with investigating and providing recommended options/solutions to complex problems and technical nuances.
