Senior Java Software Engineer, Sword Services Greece S.A., GR

Sword Services Greece S.A. is seeking to recruit a high caliber, energetic individual to join our newly established Software Development team in Greece as Senior Java Software Engineer. The successful candidate will work in a multinational environment on a multitude of tasks supporting our core business in large International Information Systems. The company is currently expanding its activities in Greece offering an optimum career advancement opportunity for the successful candidate who should combine a relevant educational and professional background, with enthusiasm and eagerness.

What you will do...

• Design, develop, and maintain Spring Framework (Spring Boot) applications;
• Design and realize microservices architecture with Spring Boot;
• Write technical documentation and do code reviews;
• Coach less senior developers;
• Collaborate with the project and development team to define and design technical solutions.

What is your experience...

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other relevant field (i.e. Engineering);
• Minimum 5 years of overall work experience in developing applications with Spring framework/Spring Boot;
• Very good knowledge of Relational Databases (preferred Oracle DB);
• Ability to draft technical documentation;
• Excellent command of the English language both written & spoken.

Experience in the following technologies will be considered an asset:

• Agile / Scrum;
• Kafka;
• React;
• Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts;
• Non-Relational Databases (especially Mongo DB).
