Position Summary

We are a leading data science team committed to revolutionizing the delivery of healthcare services through data-driven insights and innovative strategies. Our mission is to optimize healthcare outcomes and enhance patient experiences by leveraging advanced analytics and cutting-edge technologies. We are seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping our Medicare Stars clinical strategy.

Position is Hybrid and will require 3 days in an office (Hartford Connecticut, Blue Bell Pennsylvania or Chicago Illinois) location.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a data science role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with a focus on data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
  • 2 years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, and TensorFlow.
  • Experience in developing and deploying predictive models and analytical solutions in healthcare settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for leveraging data to drive actionable insights and inform strategic decisions.
  • Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis requests and conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and partner with clinical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule 3 days per week in an office location (Hartford Connecticut, Chicago Illinois or Blue Bell Pennsylvania).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Medicare Stars or other healthcare quality improvement programs is preferred.
  • Experience working with health equity data
  • Demonstrated commitment to staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in healthcare analytics.
  • Proven track record of innovative thinking and creative problem-solving in healthcare analytics projects.
  • Experience in project management methodologies and practices, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant certifications in data science, cloud computing, or healthcare analytics are a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (advanced degree) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, a related field or 7 years of equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is

$101,970.00 - $222,480.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
