Position Summary
We are a leading data science team committed to revolutionizing the delivery of healthcare services through data-driven insights and innovative strategies. Our mission is to optimize healthcare outcomes and enhance patient experiences by leveraging advanced analytics and cutting-edge technologies. We are seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping our Medicare Stars clinical strategy.
Position is Hybrid and will require 3 days in an office (Hartford Connecticut, Blue Bell Pennsylvania or Chicago Illinois) location.
Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a data science role, preferably within the healthcare industry.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with a focus on data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning.

2 years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, and TensorFlow.

Experience in developing and deploying predictive models and analytical solutions in healthcare settings.

Demonstrated expertise in working with distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for leveraging data to drive actionable insights and inform strategic decisions.

Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis requests and conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and partner with clinical stakeholders.

Ability to work a hybrid work schedule 3 days per week in an office location (Hartford Connecticut, Chicago Illinois or Blue Bell Pennsylvania).
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Medicare Stars or other healthcare quality improvement programs is preferred.

Experience working with health equity data

Demonstrated commitment to staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in healthcare analytics.

Proven track record of innovative thinking and creative problem-solving in healthcare analytics projects.

Experience in project management methodologies and practices, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Relevant certifications in data science, cloud computing, or healthcare analytics are a plus.

Bachelor's Degree (advanced degree) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, a related field or 7 years of equivalent work experience

Pay Range
The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is
$101,970.00 - $222,480.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
