We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Client Manager to join our Atlanta team, leading one of AKQA’s most established and celebrated client partnerships. For more than 15 years, we have collaborated with this global leader to deliver innovative digital products and services that reach millions of customers worldwide. This is a large-scale, high-profile account with work that spans multiple business units, touchpoints, and customer experiences.

As Senior Client Manager, you will be a key point of contact for client stakeholders across product, research, technology, and operations teams. You will ensure seamless delivery of high-quality work, identify opportunities for growth, and help guide strategic initiatives that drive measurable business impact. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and relationship leadership.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Serve as the day-to-day lead for client relationships, building trust and credibility across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Act as a strategic partner, understanding the client’s business objectives and proactively identifying opportunities to deliver value.
  • Lead client conversations with confidence, clarity, and authority, ensuring alignment on goals, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Oversee initiatives across the client’s digital ecosystem, including web, mobile app, customer.
  • Partner with clients and internal teams to translate business needs into actionable digital solutions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to inform recommendations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, strategists, designers, and developers to ensure work is delivered 
  • on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
  • Support annual and quarterly planning, mapping recommendations to established goals and KPIs.
  • Manage complex situations with sound judgment, escalating issues when necessary and offering solutions.
  • Participate in regular on-site client meetings (typically once per week) to strengthen relationships and foster collaboration.
  • Engage in the client’s highly interactive culture, building rapport through both formal and informal interactions.
  • Champion a collaborative, solutions-focused approach across both client and internal teams.

 

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • 7+ years of agency or client services experience, with at least 2 years in digital product or service delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale client engagements from strategy through execution.
  • Strong understanding of digital platforms, user experience, and technology-driven solutions.
  • Experience working with IT teams, developers, research teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.
  • Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering measurable results.

 

LOCATION & WORKING MODEL

This role is based in our Atlanta studio with a hybrid working model. Weekly on-site engagement at the client’s campus is required.
