Job Description

HelloFresh is looking for a Senior Associate of Insurance Claims to lead claims management and partner with internal and external teams to mitigate risk across the business. You will...

  • Oversee the company’s claims program, providing strategic direction and collaborating with third-party administrators and outside counsel to minimize risk exposure.
  • Ensure compliance with state-specific regulations as well as HelloFresh policies and guidelines.
  • Provide documentation for work-related injuries to workers’ compensation claims administrators, including injury details, work restrictions, and mechanism of injury, to support compensability and recordkeeping.
  • Manage escalated claims involving investigations, litigation, or high-risk exposures.
  • Partner with the internal legal team and external defense firms across multiple states to manage and support litigation matters.
  • Monitor incurred financials, review reserve authority requests, and manage claim recoveries such as subrogation.
  • Assist in coordinating the Return-to-Work program in partnership with internal departments and external administrators.
  • Participate in claim review and risk control calls with carriers, brokers, and administrators.
  • Maintain accurate claim records, documentation, and metrics; oversee loss runs and monthly claim invoicing.
  • Assist with insurance renewal submissions, claim reporting, and requests for certificates of insurance.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to communicate claim trends, costs, and emerging risks across departments.
  • Periodically provide  in-house training to various groups on important risk management topics and emerging risk.
  • Identify and implement automated solutions to streamline claims administration and reduce redundancies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

At a minimum, you have...

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in workers’ compensation claims, or in commercial risk management.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; will consider high school diploma with 3+ years claims management experience.
  • Preferred certifications ARM, CFE, CPCU, AIC, etc.
  • A proactive and solution oriented  mindset and are highly responsive to meeting the needs of the business.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to cross-collaborate and effectively communicate with various internal and external partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a strong level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and Google app (Gmail, drive, sheets, etc.)
