POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Product Manager / Senior Product Manager to spearhead a paradigm shift at the core of our products. This role is for a true first-principles thinker who will own the fundamental challenge of modernizing our entity resolution capabilities for the creation of corporate knowledge graphs.

Your core mandate is to define the future of entity resolution at Sayari. Partnering with Engineering, you will own the AI/ML strategy, determining whether our path forward lies with LLMs, traditional machine learning, or a hybrid approach. You will build the business case for this new vision and transform complex customer problems into scalable, cost-effective data solutions. Ultimately, you will lead the charge in leveraging modern techniques (including clustering, embeddings, and LLMs) to build the industry's most accurate and comprehensive knowledge graph.

This role requires a unique blend of deep business acumen, strategic thinking, and technical fluency. You will be empowered to define the future of our data, justify the investment, and deliver a system that provides unparalleled value to our customers and a significant competitive advantage for Sayari.

Job Responsibilities:

  • AI/ML Technology Strategy: Own the end-to-end research, strategy, and selection of the AI/ML methodologies for entity resolution. You will be the definitive voice on our technical approach, from LLMs to traditional ML and beyond.
  • Business Case & ROI Ownership: Author compelling business cases and investment theses for your proposed AI/ML strategy. You will define, track, and be held accountable for the key performance indicators (KPIs) and return on investment (ROI) of the entity resolution engine that powers all of Sayari's products.
  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Build and maintain a prioritized roadmap that balances foundational model research and development, feature enhancements, and strategic bets. Ensure alignment with company objectives and customer needs, making clear, data-driven trade-offs.
  • Customer-Centric Problem Solving: Dive deep with customers and internal SMEs to understand their most complex data challenges. Translate these insights into a clear articulation of the "why" that will guide the engineering and data science teams.
  • Collaborative Execution: Partner closely with Data Engineering and Data Science leaders to define the "how." You will translate strategic goals into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, fostering a collaborative environment to solve complex technical problems.
  • Go-to-Market Leadership: Support the GTM strategy for new data capabilities. Collaborate with Product Marketing, Enablement, Sales, and Solutions teams to articulate the value proposition and ensure successful market adoption.
  • SME & Rules as an Input: Champion the strategy for leveraging our invaluable Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and existing business logic as critical inputs, training data, and validation mechanisms for our new models, ensuring our system remains explainable and trustworthy.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5-7+ years of product management experience, with a demonstrated history of launching and scaling data-intensive products in a B2B environment.
  • Proven experience leading the development and scaling of AI/ML-powered systems. You must have a deep, practical understanding of the trade-offs between different AI/ML approaches (e.g., LLMs vs. traditional ML).
  • Proven track record of developing product strategy from the ground up, authoring compelling business cases, and delivering products with a measurable impact on business goals and ROI.
  • Exceptional ability to translate ambiguous customer problems into clear, actionable requirements and a prioritized roadmap for engineering teams.
  • Technical fluency and extensive experience working in close partnership with Data Engineering / Data Science teams on complex technical products. You are comfortable discussing model performance, data pipelines, system architecture, and technical trade-offs.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate a strategic vision and influence counterparts across the organization.
  • Experience working with large-scale knowledge graphs.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Direct, hands-on experience in the domain of Entity Resolution (ER). Deep understanding of the core challenges, methodologies (blocking, matching, clustering), and complexities involved in resolving real-world entities.
  • Industry experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), with an understanding of the data challenges related to counterparty risk, supply chain intelligence, or financial crime.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
