Security Integration Developer (Python), FusionHit, CR

We are looking for a Security Integration Developer to join our fast-paced, dynamic environment. You’ll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining data pipelines that integrate security applications with our threat detection engine. This role focuses on designing secure and efficient integrations via REST APIs and HTTPS endpoints, ensuring smooth automation and self-service provisioning for our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) platform.

Our client works in the technology industry, specializing in security operations and threat detection. Their mission is to enhance automated security workflows by enabling scalable and secure data integration solutions.

This project centers around designing scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines to support our MDR platform.

Location: Must reside and have work authorization in Latin America.

Availability: Must be available to work with significant overlap with Eastern Time (EST)

This is a short term contract - 2 months

The Ideal Candidate Has:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in integration engineering, backend development, or similar roles.
• Strong programming skills in Python 3 and SQL.
• Proven experience integrating with RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Python frameworks such as Quart + Fast, Django, or Flask.
• Proficiency in JSON parsing and working with Redis for caching/batching.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous vs synchronous programming and time complexity.
• Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and containerization technologies.
• Strong grasp of secure coding practices, access controls, and authentication protocols like Basic Auth.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor IDE.
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1 preferred, strong B2 may be considered).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain integrations that retrieve data from various security application APIs.
• Build and manage custom HTTPS endpoints for securely forwarding data.
• Ensure compatibility of integrations with automation workflows.
• Support self-service provisioning through web platform development.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain secure and efficient deployment practices.
• Write clean, secure, and well-documented code that adheres to coding best practices.
• Monitor, debug, and enhance integration reliability and performance.
