React Native Engineer, FusionHit, CR

We are looking for a React Native Engineer to join our fast-paced, dynamic environment.

You will play a key role in modernizing mobile applications by converting legacy Android apps into high-performance React Native apps for both Android and iOS. This is a unique opportunity to leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery, ensure cross-platform consistency, and focus on delivering innovation at scale.

Our client operates in the technology space and is currently evolving its mobile app ecosystem. This project includes rewriting an existing oral history collection app, building new features, and creating a new field audits app—delivering a unified, efficient, and maintainable cross-platform experience.

Location: Must reside and have work authorization in Latin America.
Availability: Must be available to work with significant overlap with Mountain Standard Time (MST).

The Ideal Candidate Has:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of proven React Native experience in production-grade mobile applications.
• Strong mobile development experience for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end development practices.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted tools to enhance development productivity.
• Ability to develop performant, scalable, and maintainable mobile applications.
• Strong collaboration skills to work closely with design, product, and engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1 preferred, strong B2 may be considered).

Key Responsibilities:

• Rewrite existing Android apps into React Native while ensuring feature parity and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate AI-assisted tooling for efficient migration and development.
• Build and ship new features post-migration to expand the Oral Gen app’s capabilities.
• Design and develop a new field audits application from scratch using React Native.
• Ensure seamless and scalable deployment across iOS and Android platforms.
• Work with product and design teams to implement intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
