POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for enhancing the quality of end-user applications and systems through the rigorous application of testing for application components, component integration, and business processes against established requirements. This role also supports quality efforts by reviewing deployment lifecycle processes prior to the acceptance of components into QA environments and maintaining defect management processes and repositories. Work is completed with a high degree of independence.
This role is within the Information and Digital Services organization at Les Schwab headquarters in Bend, OR.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
50% - Test Strategy, Design & Automation: Prepare test plans, test approaches, test scenarios, test cases, and define data needs for assigned application components/systems. Design and create custom test automation deliveries for functional and performance/load test requirements.
20% - Test Execution & Lifecycle Support: Execute and maintain test scripts and plans in support of project portfolio test executions (unit, string, system, integration, load, user acceptance) for assigned application components/systems and document results. Support implementations through development, quality assurance, staging, and production environments.
15% - QA Environment Management: Maintain quality assurance environments including infrastructure, data sets, automated tools, source control systems, and review development team artifacts.
15% - Defect & Metrics Management: Manage defects and provide test and automation-related metrics to portfolio teams and to Quality Assurance Center of Excellence leadership, while also supporting standard quality processes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Educational/Experience Requirements:
Four-Year Degree in Computer Science or a related field, and/or 5+ years of equivalent work experience.
Required Technical Skills/Knowledge:
Expert knowledge of QA/testing methodologies as they pertain to software development, packaged application deployment, and product delivery life cycle models.
Strong understanding of automated software testing creation and packages.
Expert knowledge of Windows-based software applications, including MS Office Suite and Google Tools.
