Project Manager (Contract)

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Licensing Category Manager to manage our licensing business in specific product categories. This role will focus on identifying and securing new licensing opportunities, managing relationships with licensees, and expanding the reach of our video game IPs across consumer products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the licensing business, strong negotiation skills and a passion for video games

Job Responsibilities

• Manage specific product categories across designated gaming brands, developing strategic plans for each category.
• Identify and engage potential licensees to extend the company’s IP into new product lines and regions.
• Negotiate and finalize licensing agreements, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing licensees, monitoring their performance and ensuring alignment with brand standards.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams including product development, marketing, and retail development to ensure seamless processes from contract negotiations to product launches.
• Stay updated on market trends in gaming and consumer products to identify emerging opportunities.
• Drive revenue growth by maximizing opportunities in existing and new categories and territories.
• Monitor and report on licensing performance metrics including sales figures and royalties.
  
  

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in licensing or a closely related field, preferably within the entertainment or video game industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven track record of developing and managing successful licensing programs in consumer products.
• Strong negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities with experience in tracking performance metrics.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Deep understanding of the video game industry, merchandise trends, and licensing practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining focus on individual responsibilities.

• Location: Remote
• Duration: 9 Months
• Pay Range: $42.50 -$48.50 per hour
• Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
