Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction (Portland, OR)

We are partnered with a well-established heavy civil contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Portland team. This is a long-standing company with a strong reputation for delivering infrastructure projects across the Portland

The Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Develop and maintain strong client, subcontractor, and supplier relationships.
• Oversee project teams, providing mentorship and leadership to engineers and field staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Handle change orders, RFIs, submittals, and cost controls.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in heavy civil construction.
• Proven track record managing projects $5M+.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, scheduling, and cost controls.
• Ability to lead teams and build positive relationships with clients and partners.
• Proficiency in construction management software (HCSS, P6, or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
