Project Manager (English version), Lan Handling, NL

Job Description

Your day as a Project Manager?

Amazing! Your day kicks off among the robots. Together with the project team working on a packaging line for ready meals, you start with a stand-up meeting on the production floor to discuss progress. As the Project Manager, you lead the meeting. You spot key points of attention, set the right priorities, and make sure that, together with the multidisciplinary team (mechanical, software, electrical, procurement), the project will be delivered on time and within budget. Perfect—this project is right on track!

On your way back to your desk, you get a call from a customer in Australia. During the testing phase, a few extra requirements have come up. Could our colleagues possibly stay on-site for three more days? You didn’t see that one coming. It seems almost impossible, but you agree to explore the options and promise to come back tomorrow with possible alternatives.

In the afternoon, you join a meeting where your sales colleagues hand over a brand-new project from an international vegetarian food producer. You’ve already gone through all the specs and agreements in detail and noted down a few questions you’d like clarified. Is it that late already? Before heading home, you stop by your Finance colleagues to answer a question about invoicing for another project. Tomorrow’s another day!

How you make things happen:

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • At least 2 years of experience in machine building companies
  • Experience leading project teams
  • Strong planning, organizational, and process management skills
  • Clear communication skills with both internal and external customers
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English

We offer:

A completely new supermarket experience. Huh, what?! Really. Once you come to work at Lan Handling, shopping will never be the same again. From that day on, you will look at bags of potatoes, carrots, sealed meat packaging and ready-made meals from a completely different perspective. And always that check: yes, we also handle this product with our machines! But, of course, that’s not all:

  • A working environment full of opportunities to grow and develop further. Good idea? Training wishes? Discuss them with your supervisor and get started.
  • A new and nice workplace. With great coffee.
  • In addition to 25 vacation days, you also get 13 days paid leave. So you have enough time to do fun things in addition to your work.
  • Flexible working hours, so you can make time for sports, hobbies, or simply to take your kids to school quietly in the morning.
  • An annual profit-sharing bonus. Because we feel that we do it together and everyone contributes to a positive result for the organization, you also benefit from a financially successful year.
  • Join us for a quad ride or shine during on of the other fun activities organized by our staff association.
  • Tasty treats when someone celebrates a birthday… or when we’ve landed another exciting project!
  • 8% holiday allowance.
  • Good travel expenses.
