Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Leads project teams, establishes execution approaches, and oversees project handover, execution planning, monitoring, and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
  • Coaches and provides performance feedback for project staff.

Instructions and Guidelines

  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of project management processes, policies, and work instructions.
  • Leads project reviews, conducts competency assessments for project execution teams, and drives continuous improvement in project delivery practices.
  • Participates in internal and external forums to advance project management practices.

Project Recovery

  • Leads project recovery efforts, rapidly assessing troubled distribution projects and guiding turnaround strategies.

Budget, Sales, and Operations Planning

  • Participates in budgeting processes jointly with management.
  • Contributes to sales and operations planning with leadership and business development.
  • Takes proactive actions to close potential gaps in project execution capacity.

Project Execution and Control

  • Ensures projects follow execution best practices and EPE policies.
  • Monitors project progress, resource utilization, and project financials (including invoicing status, expenses, and cash flow).
  • Identifies and manages project risks and opportunities.
  • Captures, analyzes, and shares lessons learned.
  • Ensures projects are formally closed out, with customer acceptance and contract completion.

Planning and Scheduling

  • Ensures that scope, schedule, and risk management plans are developed and properly executed by assigned project teams.

Contract, Claims, and Procurement Management

  • Ensures proper contract and claims management per EPE policies and contractual agreements.
  • Oversees procurement activities for services, materials, and equipment needed for distribution design projects.

Stakeholder Relations

  • Serves as key customer contact and escalation point for project issues.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

  • Ensures compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies.

People Leadership and Development

  • Develops project execution staff through formal and informal mentoring and coaching.

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in distribution design and engineering technical project management.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience managing distribution engineering and design projects.
  • Strong background in project execution, document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software.
  • Ability to develop client relationships, identify opportunities, and support proposal/pursuit efforts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to diverse assignments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous consulting experience preferred but not required.

Location : This position will be open to Remote US

Travel :  Occasional travel may be needed (10% or less)
