We’re looking for a Product Designer to join the Music Mission design team. Spotify for Artists is how artists and their teams understand, manage, and grow their presence on Spotify. Our mission is to empower artists with tools that help them reach more fans and make better decisions.
As a junior designer, you’ll contribute to product experiences that span analytics, promotion, multi-artist marketer workflows, and new creative opportunities. You’ll learn from senior designers, collaborate across disciplines, and start shaping the future of tools that help millions of artists succeed.
What You'll Do
-
Design product experiences that empower artists and their teams to understand, manage, and grow their presence on Spotify.
-
Partner with senior designers to explore, prototype, and refine solutions for artist-facing features.
-
Take ownership of well-scoped projects, making design decisions with mentorship and feedback.
-
Support the evolution of our local design system by extending patterns, auditing existing designs, and documenting best practices.
-
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists to translate artist needs into clear, usable designs.
-
Participate in critiques and design reviews to grow your craft, strengthen your problem-solving skills, and build confidence presenting your work.
Who You Are
-
You have strong interaction and visual design craft, with the ability to translate requirements into clear, usable, and engaging designs.
-
You’re a collaborator who thrives in cross-functional teams and values mentorship and feedback.
-
You think in systems and are curious about how design patterns scale across products and platforms.
-
You’re motivated by artist empathy — curious about the music industry and eager to design tools that make a difference.
-
You’re adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to balance independent work with paired design.
-
You’re early in your career but excited to grow as a designer, owning larger areas of the artist experience over time.
Where You'l Be
-
This role is based in New York City.
-
We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
-
We ask that you come in 3 times per week.
