We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead the installation and integration of advanced mechanical systems—including liquid cooling technologies, piping, pumps, and HVAC—in high-performance data center environments. This role requires hands-on supervision, cross-trade coordination, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of mechanical construction experience, including work with liquid cooling systems, and excels at team leadership, technical problem-solving, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration with Purchasing concentration, or relevant education and/or experience.
  • 2-5 years purchasing experience in the electrical industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials.
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in handling diverse and complex sourcing transactions, negotiations, and contractual responsibilities.
  • Understand legal terms and conditions.
  • Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, and accounting.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs, MS Projects is desirable.

Job Responsibilities

PROCUREMENT

  • Manage the whole of cycle procurement process – raising P/O’s, BOM’s, tracking & expediting requisitions, contracts, and orders through to close out and completion documentation, to ensure on-time or to resolve shortages, delays or resolve technical difficulties
  • Establish and maintain strong and positive relationships with suppliers and vendors, visiting manufacturing and distribution centers to assess capabilities and capacities
  • Manage whole of life supplier relationships, including the finding of suppliers, qualification & appointment.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts and service agreements with manufacturers, vendors, suppliers, contractors, and agents to ensure the highest quality products for best competitive price.
  • Prepare RFQs, receive and evaluate responses, interview vendors and select/recommend vendors while considering price, delivery requirements, and past performance of vendors.
  • Process purchase orders, requisitions, and other purchasing documents for the purchase of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with vendors to ensure value for money, minimize risk exposure, and support operational objectives.
  • Serve as the primary interface between Procurement and Legal, coordinating timely review and approval of contracts, vendor markups, and redlines.
  • Ensure all contract terms comply with corporate policies, procurement standards, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate internal stakeholder alignment on contractual terms, identifying and resolving issues related to liability, indemnity, warranties, and service levels.
  • Develop Project Procurement Plan in conjunction with Management & Project teams. Lead implementation of supplier onboarding, optimization and risk management initiatives, along with Continuous Improvement and Lean Activities by conducting supplier and subcontractor analysis, evaluate potential new suppliers and manage the overall supplier qualification process, as required.
  • Schedule and coordinates delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate and administer material returns, warranties, credits and refusals process while ensuring cost efficient handling.
  • Regular supplier reviews to drive performance and continuous improvement
  • Manage project specific Procurement Trackers and weekly meetings concerning those Trackers with stakeholders.
  • Review/code/approve invoices. Coordinate and resolve invoice problems with vendors and A/P.
  • Assess whether or not purchases qualify for tax exempt status and work with Finance to issue tax exempt certificates when needed.
  • Identify areas of short and long-term supply risk, identify alternate sourcing strategies and / or develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Manage and ensure that IREN procurement practices meet commercial, legal, contractual, and statutory compliance.
  • Support development of procurement policies and procedures as required
  • Support development and implementation of new systems, programs or ERP as required.

WAREHOUSE/INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  • Manage warehouse operations in Texas.
  • Support the development of future inventory warehouse spaces, and collaborate with key stakeholders to assess space requirements, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and implement scalable solutions to support inventory growth, and align with overall business goals
  • Develop procedures for the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods, ensuring they are accurately recorded and securely stored for both inventoried and non-inventoried items with accurate descriptions, classifications, and bin locations.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained according to demand and replenishment schedules. Adjusting orders based on inventory analysis, and optimizing stock levels to minimize waste and reduce excess stock.
  • Review the critical spares register with key stakeholders regularly to mitigate operational risk through appropriate stocking levels and reorder points.
  • Develop and oversee cycle count procedures to ensure ongoing inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Implement procedures for controlling and tracking inventory movement, including an interface with the project materials tracker.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop and implement processes that support maintenance planning and scheduled preventive maintenance
  • Coordinate with site safety teams to implement procedures around the receiving, handling, and storage of dangerous goods.
  • Manage the disposal of spare pallets, EPE ingots, and baled cardboard.
  • Develop procedures for ensuring the security of warehoused assets through controlling access and strategic video monitoring.
  • Perform stock takes as required

PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT

  • Manage the staff assigned to procurement, warehouse, and inventory management (i.e., Procurement Coordinator, Logistics and Warehouse Supervisor, site specific Logistics and Warehouse Coordinators), including scheduling, payroll approval, providing support (i.e., training, tools, equipment, and guidance), conducting annual reviews, addressing performance issues, and prioritization of duties.
  • Ensure warehouse employees are trained in safety practices, including the proper handling of hazardous materials, lifting techniques, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the use of equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jacks, other material handling equipment, EPE machine, and cardboard baler).
  • Conduct a regular staff meeting and ensure good communications with the team to manage priorities and provide high standard of services to the sites.

OTHER

  • Support the implementation, compliance, and continuous improvement of future procurement, finance, and inventory management systems.
  • Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement to IREN’s Data Centers
  • Coordinates and administers special procurement projects, as required.
  • Provide input for budget development associated with procurement and
warehouse operations.

Job Benefits

  • Salary range (Texas/Oklahoma): USD $95,000 - $125,000, depending on experience
