Office Manager/Controller – Wilkinson Chevrolet Cadillac GMC

Position Summary

Wilkinson Chevrolet Cadillac GMC, a family-owned dealership serving Lee County and surrounding communities for over 70 years, is seeking an experienced Office Manager / Controller to lead our accounting operations and oversee daily administrative functions. This position plays a vital role in financial reporting, compliance, and leadership of the office team while supporting overall dealership operations.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Accounting

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, cash flow, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with dealership and manufacturer requirements.
  • Manage internal controls to safeguard dealership assets and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Work closely with the department managers and the Dealer Principal to monitor budgets and expenses.
  • Review and submit factory financial statements, schedules, and reports.
  • Coordinate year-end audits and work closely with external accountants and auditors.

Office & Administrative Leadership

  • Supervise office staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop, document, and implement office policies and procedures.
  • Support HR functions including new hire processing, benefits administration, and timekeeping.
  • Ensure efficient office operations that support dealership sales, service, and parts departments.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely submission of DMV paperwork, tax filings, and payroll records.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for dealership leadership.

Vendor & Partner Relations

  • Manage banking relationships, floor plan, and manufacturer financial interactions.
  • Work with outside vendors, legal advisors, and insurance providers.
  • Negotiate and monitor vendor contracts to maximize dealership efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Automotive dealership accounting/controller experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and dealership operations.
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems (CDK) is a plus .
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work across all departments.
