Job Description

We are a worldwide leading provider of laser beam projection displays that enable tech giants from Silicon Valley to Asia to unlock their next Augmented Reality revolution.

Tasks

  • Provide expert level optical engineering expertise and best-practice design for Research, Development and sustaining efforts.
  • Perform lab optical measurement using existing setups, prepare documentation and report.
  • Design, test and validate new optical setups for optical measurements. Measure optical parameters on engineering samples in a regular basis.
  • Perform tolerance analysis on new designs.
  • Contribute on the design and the generation of prototypes for proof of concepts products and assemblies.
  • Provide cost and schedule estimates for various tasks.
  • Availability to travel to USA or ASIA once per semester for no more than 2 weeks is a plus.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or similar in Optical Engineering or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience in imaging optical design.
  • Experience in lab optomechanical assembly.
  • Experience with Zemax. CAD design software knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in semiconductor laser and/or MEMS technologies are a plus.
  • A successful candidate needs to be flexible, receptive to ideas from others, team oriented, and willing to work with scientists, engineers and others to continue pushing the technology envelop from varied technical backgrounds.
  • Expect this work to include interfacing with cross-functional teams responsible for designing and producing exciting new display technologies (i.e. electronics and mechanics)
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
