Position is for Multi Organ Transplant Dietitian (kidney; liver; pancreas; heart and lung) who works collaboratively with the transplant multidisciplinary team to evaluate and assess patients for transplant candidacy and to assist with nutritional management after transplantation in order to prevent complications associated with immunosuppressive medications, as well as optimize wound healing and organ function.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced experience with and interest in the treatment of eating disorders, weight management, Endocrine disorders, and multidisciplinary teams. Maintains continuing education hours as outlined by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
3 years Clinical dietetics experience preferred. Additional specialty training related to assigned clinical area preferred.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Bachelor's Degree Dietetics, nutrition or related field.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Licensed through the State of Louisiana Board of Examiners in Dietetics and Nutrition. Specialty certification is required within 3 years of hire.
