Be part of designing the future of Avionics Software Development and Test!  You will be part of a multi-disciplinary group of designers developing multi-model AI model simulating pilot actions as we launch more autonomous capabilities.   You will learn about practical applications of multi-modal AI models in the Aerospace industry and be part of building cutting-edge capabilities to enable greater autonomy in airborne applications.

What You Will Do:

• You will research AI technologies and develop a software solution within a multifunctional team composed of systems engineers and software engineers.  

• You will apply the AI research to build a multi-model ingestion engine that can operate on non-textual design documentation artifacts with the intent to leverage this data to build new avionics system designs 

• You will summarize and present your project results to executive leadership at the end of the summer 

What You Will Learn:

• You will learn about the future application of autonomous airborne systems 

• You will learn more about multi-modal AI models and their practical application in Aerospace 

• You will learn about concepts and fundamentals of Avionics system design 

• You will learn how to distill and present complex information to large audiences 

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with multi-modal AI models 

• Experience as a pilot-in-command 
• Experience in Generative AI in academic or personal projects 
• General AI/ML knowledge through practical experience

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
