Job Title: Mechanical Assistant Project Manager

Location: Manhattan, NY

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000

We are a leading mechanical contracting firm specializing in high-profile commercial and residential projects across New York City. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and on-time delivery, we're seeking a Mechanical Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team in Manhattan .

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping) to gain hands-on experience in project management and grow within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing mechanical construction projects.
• Track project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Support field operations and ensure proper coordination between trades.
• Attend project meetings and document key action items and updates.
• Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Perform site visits and inspections to monitor progress and compliance.
• Maintain project documentation and assist with close-out procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 1–3 years of experience in mechanical construction or project coordination.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems preferred.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
