Master Project Scheduler – Aerospace & Defense

San Diego, CA | 100% Onsite | Salary: $75K–$115K

A leading aerospace and defense organization is seeking a Master Project Scheduler to play a critical role in program planning, scheduling, and execution for DoD, NASA, and commercial programs. You’ll ensure cost-schedule integration, support Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements, and partner with cross-functional teams to keep mission-critical programs on track.

• What You’ll Do
• Build & manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Microsoft Project
• Apply Critical Path Methodology (CPM) & perform schedule health checks
• Integrate schedules with cost & risk systems for EVM compliance
• Establish & maintain schedule baselines; support IBRs & change management
• Perform variance, float, and critical path analysis with KPIs & trend reports
• Support ETC, EAC & forecasting processes with program controls teams
• Tailor scheduling strategies across government & commercial programs
• Collaborate with Program Managers, CAMs, engineers, and finance daily
• Develop proposal-level schedules for bids & new program pursuits
• Present schedule performance insights to leadership & stakeholders
• What We’re Looking For
• 3+ years in project scheduling/program planning (aerospace/defense preferred)
• Bachelor’s in Program Mgmt, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related
• Strong experience with logic-driven scheduling & CPM
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project & MS Office
• Excellent communication & stakeholder briefing skills
• Nice-to-Haves
• DoD, NASA, or government aerospace program scheduling experience
• Hands-on EVM & IBR participation
• Familiarity with Cobra, wInsight, or other schedule/cost integration tools
• Agile/commercial scheduling experience
