About the Role
We are seeking a creative and highly organized
Marketing + Social Media Coordinator
to lead digital storytelling and drive audience engagement across all platforms. Social media will be a major focus of this role, alongside the development of impactful marketing campaigns and the coordination of high-profile executive events.

McDermott + Bull
and
Activate 180
— two purpose-driven brands creating meaningful experiences for executives, professionals, and teams across industries. You’ll balance strategy with execution: developing content, managing campaigns, and delivering standout events that elevate our brand presence.
This position follows a hybrid schedule, with onsite work at our Irvine office Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media

Develop and execute social media strategy in collaboration with the Director of Marketing.

Manage content calendars and produce engaging, original content (photos, videos, graphics, GIFs).

Grow brand awareness and engagement across platforms through storytelling, campaigns, and creative experimentation.

Monitor daily activity, engage with followers, and identify opportunities to deepen relationships.

Track and analyze performance metrics; deliver monthly KPI reports with insights and recommendations.

Stay ahead of social trends, tools, and platform updates, and pitch new approaches to strengthen reach and impact.

Support event and campaign launches with tailored social media strategies.
Marketing
-
Partner with the Director of Marketing to develop integrated marketing strategies aligned with business development and communication goals.

Execute campaigns across email, digital, and social channels.

Design and manage collateral such as presentations, newsletters, one-pagers, and promotional materials.

Maintain and update content across websites, blogs, and other digital properties.

Track performance data across campaigns and digital platforms to optimize impact.

Support the execution of special projects and ongoing system/process improvements.
Events
-
Lead the coordination and execution of both in-person events across multiple brands.

Manage timelines, logistics, budgets, and vendor relationships for seamless production.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define event goals and ensure alignment with business priorities.

Oversee event communications and promotional efforts before, during, and after each event.
Requirements

3–5 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, events, or communications.

Proven success developing and growing social media platforms and communities.

Strong writing, visual storytelling, and content creation skills.

Proficiency with tools such as Canva/Adobe InDesign, social scheduling platforms, email marketing software, and CMS.

Experience planning and executing events including vendor coordination.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Comfort with analyzing metrics and reporting on performance.
