What you'll do...

Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089

Duties: Work with engineering teams to implement, document, validate, and monitor Walmart logging and metrics. Responsible for crafting dependable data pipelines and automated reporting to surface metrics. Identify, translate, prioritize, and inform important product questions with data. Explore data to find actionable insights and make product recommendations through funnels, long-term trends, segmentation, and more as necessary. Responsible for empowering and guiding other analysts and data consumers to work effectively and efficiently with data. Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines of analytical data warehouse. Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Product Management and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans. Work with a collaborative team, made up of engineering, UX, and product management, along with web and technology evangelists, to rapidly iterate new products and site features at scale. Develop and champion a product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a specific product within a product area in support of corporate goals and objectives. Drive the product discovery process. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions applying data modeling, SQL, and data warehousing. Help design and drive meaningful improvements and optimizations for the checkout experience. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Analytics (any), or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Analytics (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.

Skills required: Experience writing SQL queries to pull data from analytical data sets for data analysis and reporting. Experience building ETL data pipelines to extract data from various sources and cleanse and transform the data to create data marts for analytics use and reporting. Experience handling a huge volume of eCommerce data using Hadoop technologies for a seamless data analysis. Experience writing Hive queries on tables within Google cloud buckets for data analysis and building data pipelines. Experience writing custom scripts using Python to create re-usable frameworks and processes. Experience building dashboards to visualize metrics using Tableau. Experience searching, analyzing, and visualizing customer experience events using Splunk. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $113,949/year to $202,000. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.  Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
