Learning and Development (L&D) Partner, Our Future Health, GB

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Partner who will support the Head of Talent to develop and execute learning strategies, design and deliver training initiatives, assess development needs, and track learning effectiveness. The ideal Learning & Development Partner will have experience supporting growth in a fast-changing environment, where processes may be evolving or imperfect, by building learning capability that helps colleagues adapt and succeed.

Our Future Health will be the UK’s largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent and treat diseases. We are a charity, supported by the UK Government, in partnership with charities and industry. We work closely with the NHS and with public authorities across all nations and regions of the UK.

Our plan is to bring together 5 million volunteers from right across the UK who will be asked to contribute information to help build one of the most detailed pictures we have ever had of people’s health. Researchers will be able to use this information to make new discoveries about human health and diseases. So future generations can live in good health for longer.

What you'll be doing:
As a fast-scaling organisation it’s essential that you are not afraid to get stuck in, gather relevant information, and create a point of view, but be flexible enough to work within several areas and handle changes in direction or new priorities. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Conduct detailed training needs analyses at team and business levels to identify skills gaps and priority areas.
  • Cocreate an annual L&D roadmap and detailed delivery calendar, aligning with strategic objectives defined by the Head of Talent.
  • Design and deliver high quality learning interventions - including face to face workshops, virtual cohort sessions, e-learning modules and on the job experiences - that are well scoped, outcome focused and subject to effective evaluation and iteration.
  • Partner effectively with colleagues across People & Culture, Business Units and subject matter experts to source or develop content and secure buy in at every stage.
  • Provide constructive challenge and push back when requests fall outside strategic scope or ROI thresholds, recommending alternative solutions backed by data.
  • Analyse learning metrics and business KPIs to measure and present ROI, create clear dashboards and deliver compelling reports to leadership.
  • Support policy development and governance for all L&D activities, including LMS administration, budget management and vendor comparison and contracts.
  • Facilitate the development coaching and mentoring, equipping managers to lead effective development conversations and cascade learning.
  • Support on the development and rollout of initiatives such as apprenticeships, internship schemes and similar.
