Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Technical Project Manager to support the coordination and smooth execution of marine engineering projects. In this role, you will assist in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on project activities—helping ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, early-career project management professional with strong organizational skills and an interest in technical project environments, particularly within the marine or engineering sectors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in tracking multiple concurrent marine engineering projects, ensuring accurate status updates across budget, timeline, scope, and risk
  • Create and maintain project reports, dashboards, and documentation to support project visibility and decision-making
  • Support the prioritization and scheduling of projects based on resource availability and strategic alignment
  • Conduct quality checks and assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • Help project teams identify and address potential delays, resource constraints, or risks
  • Maintain metrics to support project governance and performance tracking
  • Support engineers and technical leads with scheduling, task estimation, and resource planning
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between project stakeholders across departments

  • Vessel system maintenance and upgrades (electrical, propulsion, mechanical)
  • Port and dock infrastructure projects
  • Marine environmental compliance and monitoring initiatives
  • Underwater inspection coordination
  • Coastal and offshore engineering support activities

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field and project management exposure
  • 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, project analysis, or technical support
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with project tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across functional teams
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to travel to other countries if needed
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred:

  • Exposure to marine, engineering, or infrastructure-related projects
  • Interest in pursuing a project management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP)
  • Familiarity with project governance or portfolio management processes
