Position Summary
The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures the availability, performance, and security of core systems, networks, servers, cloud platforms, and related technologies. The Senior Engineer also serves as a technical lead, mentoring junior engineers, driving automation, and collaborating across teams to align infrastructure strategy with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Architecture
o Lead the design, deployment, and scaling of enterprise infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud services).
o Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations to modernize IT infrastructure.
Implementation & Maintenance
o Administer and support Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
o Manage enterprise networking components (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, load balancers, wireless).
o Oversee storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
Security & Compliance
o Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure systems.
o Partner with security teams to ensure compliance with governance, risk, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, NIST).
Automation & Optimization
o Develop scripts, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for efficient provisioning and management.
o Monitor system performance and proactively optimize for cost, scalability, and reliability.
Collaboration & Leadership
o Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for infrastructure projects and escalations.
o Mentor and guide junior engineers and administrators.
o Collaborate with application, security, and business teams to align infrastructure strategy with organizational goals.
