Information Technology Manager

Midtown NYC Office


Salary: $125K - $150K


Seeking an experienced IT Manager with meaningful experience working in the law firm setting. This position will work closely with the third-party technology services vendor that manages our infrastructure.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ IT experience in a mid-to-large size law firm.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with project management principles and
  • practices.
  • Technical skills and ability to understand the operation and support of a medium
  • sized network including knowledge of infrastructure hardware, network communications, voice technologies, operating systems, and firm applications/systems.
  • Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure with continually changing priorities; ability to flexibly integrate special assignments or projects into workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively; demonstrated ability to successfully work well in a team environment consisting of attorneys, staff and vendors.
  • Excellent judgment demonstrated by the ability to make appropriate decisions in high pressure situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to successfully interact with end-users and explain technical concepts to user with limited technical understanding.
  • Desire to continue to develop skills, knowledge and ability to improve processes and procedures, as well as keep updated on trends and developments in the legal and technology industries.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with firm goals and industry developments.
  • Become a proactive resource for firm management and practice groups in identifying and recommending technology resources.
  • Partner with third party infrastructure vendor to ensure strong security protocols, including data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Manage and ensure completion of client questionnaires/audit requests to ensure compliance with client requirements for new and continued business intake.
  • Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation on the firm’s systems and all IT related functions.
  • Asses technology-related training needs and design, deliver, and sustain training programs for both new hires and existing end-users.
  • Maintain familiarity with the products and services generally available in the computer/technology industry, particularly those that support the legal field.
  • Create and maintain effective working relationships with others to facilitate a
  • positive and productive work environment.
  • Continuously refine, develop, and expand skills in anticipation of changes in the
  • work environment or profession.
  • Adhere to all Firm policies, practices, and procedures.
