Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks IBM DataStage Lead Solution Architect at its facility located at 5757 N Green Bay Ave, Glendale, Wisconsin 53209.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Design, build, and implement ETL solutions with IBM’s DataStage interface. Architect new HR/payroll integrations using the DataStage platform. Apply ETL principles, practices, and be able to implement complex solutions while working on multiple projects and enhancement requests. Lead and manage technical resources for projects and enhancements review and discuss project requirements with key personnel assigned to projects. Assist project leaders in determining project timelines and objectives. Work with architecture knowledge of data modelling and database design. Skilled at the ideation, design, and deployment of DataStage integrations. Work within a multidisciplinary team, as well as be self-motivated to constantly seek improvements to existing processes. Support the analysis of designs, developing, testing, and implementing changes to the applications in support of business unit initiatives and change requests. Lead each testing cycle of system design changes prior to migrating to production applications. Cooperate with release manager to resolve readiness and deployment schedule of the applications modifications or enhancements. Support the application migration strategy for moving changes between environments. Design and build scalable DataStage integrations. Monitor existing DataStage jobs and resolve any failures. Test and troubleshoot problems in DataStage integrations. Review and improve existing DataStage integration for performance and fixes. Provide support to customers and team members about issues relating to storage, handling, and access of data. Telecommuting: 2 days per week remote allowed.
REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Plus 5 years of experience as a DataStage Developer, Software Engineer, or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) SQL or another relevant coding language such as PL or SQL.; (2) Data modeling and database design; (3) Ideation, designing and deploying DataStage integrations; (4) Workday and workday integration tools; and (5) Payroll and tax data understanding of human resource transactions.
