About The Role

We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in a full-time capacity at one of our key locations, including Huntsville, AL; Shalimar, FL; Melbourne, FL; or Washington, D.C. This role is designed to provide essential administrative and operational support across various HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and compliance. The HR Coordinator will report directly to the HR Operations Manager and play a vital role in ensuring smooth HR processes, accurate record-keeping, and effective communication within the organization.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with the possibility of remote consideration, and involves supporting day-to-day HR projects, employee inquiries, and collaboration with HR Business Partners. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (additional experience may substitute for degree)
  • 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources or related administrative roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems is preferred
  • HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus
  • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding activities, including paperwork, HRIS data entry, and coordination with relevant departments
  • Coordinate new hire orientation sessions to ensure a seamless onboarding experience
  • Collaborate with Payroll, IT, and hiring managers to ensure new employees have appropriate system access from day one
  • Manage compliance activities such as E-Verify, I-9 verification, background checks, and drug testing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS data integrity
  • Prepare HR documentation including employment verification letters, status change forms, and termination paperwork
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Track and process HR-related activities such as tuition reimbursements, referral bonuses, transfers, and promotions
  • Support HR audits, compliance initiatives, and participate in project teams as needed
