Why This Role Matters
The Global Service Operations Director provides strategic leadership across global transactional service delivery teams—including Client Services, Bids, Post-Sale, BSG, TSS, and Sale Coordination. Fostering an environment of service excellence and collaboration and working in partnership with stakeholders from around the business, this role will deliver enterprise-wide operational excellence, delivering compliant, efficient, and client-centric processes, ensuring an exceptional experience for both clients and internal stakeholders. The Global Service Operations Director will drive service strategy, support talent mapping and development, advise and agree standards and policy, be a key stakeholder in the Client Experience for both live and digital channels and act as a global point of coordination for the service operations functions for global projects.
How You'll Make an Impact
· Drive the delivery of an exceptional, consistent Service Operations experience across all client touchpoints internal and external while leading initiatives that simplify processes, enhance service quality, and create measurable operational efficiencies.
Partner with key stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment with regional operations strategy and other projects globally
· Collaborate with the Digital Product team to shape and steer the delivery of Digital Transformation, ensuring a cohesive and strategically phased rollout that enhances both Buyer and Seller experiences, while enabling seamless integration with Service Operations.
· Partner with regional department heads to uphold operational excellence and compliance across all systems and processes, including anti-fraud protocols, KYC, credit card policy, and data protection standards.
· Architect the ongoing evolution of the global Service Operations organisational structure, ensuring it remains agile, scalable, and aligned to business growth. Conduct regular reviews of roles and responsibilities to maximise global and regional resource effectiveness.
· Lead and empower Regional Heads of Service Operations and Sale Coordination to build and sustain high-performing teams through strategic talent development, succession planning, and implementation of robust performance and development frameworks.
· Accountable for the ongoing delivery and management of the Service Recovery program. Work with regional managers, to ensure that all escalated issues are resolved in a timely and elegant way, driving client loyalty and engagement. Drive continuous improvements to the Service Recovery program including systems enhancements, communications, training and reporting.
· Drive an environment of service excellence through the delivery of Exceptional Service Training both across the business and within Service Operations. Work with regional Heads of Departments to deliver enhanced and consistent training across Service Operations
· Provide strategic oversight of the Service operations budgets, ensuring financial discipline across functions by guiding line managers in budget ownership, forecasting accuracy, and effective P&L management.
