Full-Time Center Associate, The UPS Store, OK, US

Job Description

The Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.

What You'll Do:

  • Greet customers warmly and determine their needs.
  • Provide accurate information about UPS products and services, including shipping, printing, mailbox rentals, and other offerings.
  • Efficiently process customer transactions using our point-of-sale system.
  • Carefully package items for shipment according to UPS guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain store equipment, such as copiers, printers, and binding machines.
  • Sort and distribute mail and packages accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable store environment.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies.
  • Answer phone calls professionally and handle customer inquiries.
  • Work collaboratively with the store team to achieve goals.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is required – we're willing to train the right candidate!
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, is required.

We are locally owned and operated, and conveniently located at 3126 S BOULEVARD EDMOND,OK 73013Our store hours are M-F, 8:30 am—6:30 pm; Saturday, 9 am—5 pm; and Sunday, 10 am -3 pm. We do not offer any health insurance, retirement plans, or PTO/ sick pay for this position. WE OFFER TIME AND A HALF ON SUNDAYS HOURS IF YOU'RE SCHEDULED.
