About The Role

TaxSlayer is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Software Developer to build comprehensive solutions for Tax Professionals. As a Full Stack Software Developer, you’ll work on both cutting-edge .NET 8 APIs and React applications while helping migrate and maintain our .NET Framework applications. To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for delivering high quality software, working in an agile environment, and staying up to date on the latest technologies. You will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative team environment, taking on difficult challenges with many opportunities to learn from seasoned engineers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Write efficient and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate into technical requirements.
  • Perform code reviews to maintain code quality and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Timely delivery of high-quality, well-documented code.
  • Effective collaboration with stakeholders and QA teams.
  • Improved product performance and reduced defects.
  • Positive feedback from internal users and external clients.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient with modern .NET development (.NET 8, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web APIs, Blazor).
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, or MySQL.
  • Experience with modern React applications using TypeScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Experience writing unit/integration/E2E tests.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with .NET Framework and WinForms applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience or training.
  • 2+ years of development experience.
