Job Title: Full Stack Engineer, Associate

Location: Pune, India

Role Description

• Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration. It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end applications using Go (Golang), Java (Spring Boot), and React.
• Design and propose solutions for user stories, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Develop RESTful APIs and gRPC services in Go for microservices running in GCP Cloud Run.
• Write unit tests and integration tests, practicing TDD/BDD principles.
• Implement asynchronous workflows and event-driven systems using GCP Pub/Sub and Cloud Functions.
• Leverage multithreading and concurrency patterns in Go for high-performance services.
• Perform peer code reviews following engineering best practices and design guidelines.
• Deploy and manage microservices in a CI/CD environment with Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Apply DevOps practices, including build automation, version control (Git), dependency management, and continuous delivery.
• Integrate APIs with React-based UIs, ensuring seamless user experiences.
• Ensure system observability with logging, metrics, and monitoring in cloud-native environments.
• Adhere to software engineering design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean code practices.
• Engage stakeholders and cross-functional teams with effective communication and problem-solving.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent industry experience).
• 4+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend and full-stack engineering.
• Experience with REST API design and development.
• Experience in Golang, including gRPC API design /development, concurrency, synchronization, and multithreading would be a plus.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying GCP Cloud Run microservices and serverless solutions with Cloud Functions.
• Experience with event-driven systems using GCP Pub/Sub.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or Ansible.
• Exposure to distributed systems, microservice architecture, and messaging architectures.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, networking, and design patterns.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and build tools in a cloud-native context.
• Knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (GCP preferred, with AWS or Azure also accepted).
• Experience building frontend applications with React (JavaScript/TypeScript), including hooks, state management (Redux/Context), and component-driven development.
• Strong understanding of UI development practices, REST API consumption, asynchronous data fetching, and modern React ecosystem tooling.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database modelling.
• Familiarity with API gateway integration and security best practices.
• Proficiency with modern software lifecycle tools: Git, ADO,JIRA, Artifactory.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex distributed systems.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to present technical ideas and collaborate with business stakeholders.
• Ability to follow and promote software engineering best practices, including design reviews, coding standards, and testing strategies.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented design, design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean architecture.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams as a full-stack contributor.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt quickly to changing environments.
