Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Cloud/Technical Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Core financial planning and analysis responsibilities (e.g., forecast, close, and financial reporting).
  • Experience working/communicating with senior executives.
  • Ability to influence and persuade through the use of data.
  • Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment while managing ambiguity.

As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of Google’s technical infrastructure and the economics of business and product area strategies, and partner with product area finance teams (e.g., Ads Finance, YouTube Finance, Cloud Finance) and Engineering teams to drive insights on TI spend, forecast, and annual planning.
  • Deliver insights into drivers of growth, costs, metrics, and market trends, and identify risks and opportunities with recommendations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert across various TI areas (e.g., helping product area business partners understand and influence their technical infrastructure costs, pricing resources in data centers, allocating costs to product area profit and loss, etc.).
  • Identify opportunities for demand shaping and efficiencies to lead to a more optimal fleet, maintain and improve both near-term and multi-year models for OpEx, resource/service pricing, reporting governance, and AI/ML reporting.
