About this Role

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to contribute to the success of our projects by providing accurate and timely cost estimates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, with experience working on large projects within the utilities or civil construction industries. Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality results are key. This position will include both office and field work.

The pay range for this role is $100,000-$130,000

What You'll Do

Estimating & Analysis

  • Analyze project plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.

  • Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys.

  • Research and analyze material costs, labor rates, and equipment expenses.

  • Utilize construction estimating software to enhance efficiency.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with operations project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.

  • Present and explain estimates to internal teams and stakeholders.

  • Participate in bid review meetings.

Field & Pre-Bid Activities

  • Attend pre-bids and job walks prior to estimate completion.

  • Assist project teams with clarifications during the bidding process.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or relevant experience
  • Three or more years of experience as a Estimator focusing on utility or civil projects.
  • Proficient in construction estimating software (e.g., ProEst, HeavyBid, Timberline, InEight, etc.).
  • Skilled in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Projects, and PrimaVera.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of current market trends and construction industry standards.
  • This role requires 25-30% travel.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $130,000.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
