Overview

The Enterprise Program Director provides strategic leadership and direction for the successful execution of high-impact enterprise programs across the organization. Acting as the senior point of contact for Tier 1 enterprise customers on complex, multi-year strategic programs, this role drives alignment between business objectives, customer success, and cross-functional execution. The Enterprise Program Director is responsible for setting the vision, building consensus across diverse stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of programs that advance organizational priorities, customer outcomes, and market leadership in healthcare technology.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of enterprise-wide program initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with company vision, long-term goals, and evolving customer needs.
  • Serve as the primary executive liaison for strategic enterprise accounts, fostering strong relationships with C-suite and senior decision-makers both internally and externally.
  • Act as a thought leader, influencing organizational strategy and customer success through program insights, industry expertise, and innovative solutions.
  • Champion program objectives from initial concept through post-implementation, collaborating with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Support, Innovation and other enterprise functions to ensure seamless execution.
  • Oversee program governance, establishing clear success metrics, monitoring progress, and making strategic adjustments to ensure outcomes are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Direct cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed environment, resolving resource conflicts, ensuring optimal allocation, and removing barriers to execution.
  • Facilitate enterprise-level program calibration and alignment sessions to maintain consistency, quality, and customer satisfaction across all initiatives.
  • Translate complex technical and operational details into clear, actionable communications for executive audiences.
  • Regularly brief executive leadership, internal and external, on program health, risks, dependencies, and strategic opportunities.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across program portfolios, ensuring contingency plans are in place, effectively communicated and executed on, when appropriate.
  • Drive continuous improvement by assessing program performance, gathering stakeholder feedback, and implementing best practices across the enterprise.
  • Maintain a comprehensive enterprise program roadmap, ensuring visibility into priorities, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, panels, and forums to position the organization as a leader in healthcare technology program delivery.
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery across assigned portfolio.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive program and/or project management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or director-level role leading enterprise-scale initiatives.
  • Proven success managing strategic programs within the healthcare technology sector, with deep understanding of industry trends, compliance requirements, and operational complexities.
  • Extensive C-suite stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence and negotiate at the executive level.
  • Demonstrated expertise in enterprise program governance, roadmap development, and performance measurement.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect program outcomes to corporate strategy.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Adept at conflict resolution and change management in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Proficiency in SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid approaches).
  • Advanced skills with MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to deliver programs on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Strong customer orientation and the ability to build trust across a wide range of stakeholders.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
  • PMP, PgMP, or comparable program management certification.
  • Experience in payer, provider, workforce and/or healthcare compliance environments.
  • Experience with partner ecosystems, alliances, and joint program delivery models.
  • Familiarity with enterprise tools for program portfolio management and reporting.
  • Background in change management methodologies such as Prosci ADKAR.
