We are now recruiting on behalf of a high growth service company in Atlanta in its search for an impactful
Director of FP&A
to join its leadership team. The firm is private equity backed and this role will work closely with a stellar executive team who has a proven track record of growth and success. The company is in acquisition mode and offers a competitive compensation package.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this highly visible
Director of FP&A
role will serve as a strategic business partner to executive and field leadership. This position will lead the financial planning function, drive forecasting and modeling, and deliver clear, actionable insights to support decision-making in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. As a key member of the finance leadership team, this position will not only be hands-on with data and modeling, but also play an integral role in guiding business strategy, supporting growth initiatives, and mentoring a talented finance team of 2-4 Finance staff. Responsibilities include:

Lead the coordination, preparation, and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards.

Analyze financial performance (P&L, KPIs, trends, margins, budget variances) and develop insightful commentary for senior and field leadership.

Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans aligned with operational goals.

Build and maintain advanced financial models, including dynamic Excel-based models used for forecasting, scenario planning, and business cases.

Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes and systems; streamline workflows and enhance reporting efficiency through tools like Power BI and SQL.

Partner closely with executive and field leaders to deliver ad hoc analyses, operational insights, and business performance reviews.

Lead the creation and evolution of departmental and company-wide KPI dashboards.

Oversee calculation and administration of incentive compensation plans.

Support M&A activities including financial due diligence and integration modeling.

Champion special projects and organizational initiatives with a focus on execution, accountability, and measurable results.
The right candidate for this
Director of FP&A
role will have:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA, CFA or CPA preferred).

7-10+ years of progressive finance experience, with a strong background in FP&A, strategic financial modeling, and business analysis.

Experience in a multi-site business model is required.

Expert level financial modeling in Excel is essential. Must be able to build and manage complex, interactive models as well as three financial statement models.

Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or similar BI/reporting tools is a significant plus.

Exposure to high-growth, entrepreneurial, or founder-led environments is a strong advantage.

Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams in a collaborative and professional manner.

Prior experience in PE-backed or high-growth companies is helpful, The ideal candidate appreciates a fast-paced, agile culture with high expectations and shared ownership.

Experience in investment banking, with a private equity firm, or in a top tier consulting firm is preferred.

Understanding of revenue recognition is strongly preferred.
