The Purilogics Engineering team based is looking for a Development Engineer II to join our team. This role directly supports the commercialization of membrane chromatography technologies, contributing to our leadership in life sciences innovation. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the transfer, scale-up, evaluation, and validation of exciting, differentiated technologies to position us as a market leader in Membrane Chromatography. Key responsibilities and qualifications to be successful in this role are listed below. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Bloomington, MN facility.
Role Responsibilities:
Drive the transfer and scale up of reaction chemistries from R&D into production
Support the identification of manufacturing requirements for new chemical processes and associated equipment, ensuring alignment with material specifications and process standards
Coordinate on cross-functional initiatives and influence process development strategies across R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams
Work on cost-optimization/continuous improvements for varied processes
Write/execute technical reports, operating procedures, work instructions, and validation documents
Develop and optimize test methods for assessing chemical processes and performing quality control measurements
Manage scheduling and planning to meet deliverables for projects
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science or equivalent work experience.
1+ years of prior work experience
Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Wet lab chemistry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of statistics for experiments and manufacturing (ANOVA, t-test, capability analyses)
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
Experience with scaling chemical reactions
Experience working in a cleanroom
Experience with chromatography
Experience in technical report writing
Experience with statistical software (e.g. jmp, minitab, matlab)
Annual Salary Range: $71,900 - $91,700. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.
