Company Overview

General Summary:

Manager, Digital Commerce, with a strong focus on data and analytics, is responsible for leading data science initiatives from a business and strategy perspective for third-party delivery channels (Uber, DoorDash) and non-consumable marketplaces. This role is a business-focused role within a data-focused team, responsible for leveraging business expertise alongside data to manage projects with stakeholders, identify new business opportunities, present findings to aid in strategic decision-making, etc.

The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of digital analytics, ideally with experience in Retail and a passion for data. Experience in E-Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Digital Analytics, or Retail preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Recommendations & Business Impact:

  • Strategically examine and translate data findings and insights into clear, concise, and actionable business recommendations for a non-technical audience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and 3rd party partners (e.g., Marketing, Data Engineering, IT, DoorDash, Uber) to manage processes and influence business outcomes.
  • Identify and quantify new opportunities using data by enhancing current processes or approaching business questions with data driven insights.
  • Lead the ongoing measurement of the business impact of all digital commerce initiatives and report on the financial outcomes through a business lens.
  • Understand all sources of digital commerce data, identify gaps in data and additional strategic uses of the data.

Marketing & Delivery Analytics

  • Lead deep-dive analysis on marketplace and delivery partner performance, working with partners and within the data to identify drivers of growth or decline.
  • Analyze and interpret data from various digital platforms to understand customer behavior, sales trends, and operational efficiency.
  • Work with data engineering teams to ensure data pipelines are robust and accurate for all digital commerce channels.
  • Be the point of contact for 3rd party partners from a data perspective, understanding capabilities and potential process improvements.
  • Identify and implement new tools or technologies to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities
  • Model financial impact of customer offers or other initiatives related to Digital Commerce.
  • Use Excel and SQL to analyze data and trends in depth.

Visualization, Executive Communication And Leadership

  • Create presentations and reports to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Handle executive and stakeholder communication on data related Commerce activities.
  • Lead the team with expertise on Digital Commerce and business knowledge.
  • Manage communication around requirements for requests from the team, coordinating with the technical members of the team and stakeholders, as well as any off-shore members.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSAs)

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data insights to financial performance and strategic goals.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, marketplace dashboards) and Advanced Excel is essential.
  • Expertise with SQL for data querying and manipulation would be preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tell a story with data and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

Work Experience &/or Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA Preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in E-Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Digital Analytics, or Retail.
