About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist, Marketing, to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the analytical backbone of our marketing initiatives, working from data exploration to deploying predictive models that influence strategic decisions. Your work will directly impact how we allocate marketing budgets, personalize user engagement, and measure return on investment at scale.

You will design, analyze, and interpret experiments to optimize performance across various channels such as paid media, lifecycle marketing, and influencer partnerships. Additionally, you will develop attribution models to better understand customer journeys and channel impacts, build forecasting tools to predict campaign performance, and partner with cross-functional teams to craft data-driven strategies for audience segmentation and messaging. Your insights will be vital in establishing scalable measurement frameworks for new marketing initiatives, and you will communicate findings to executive leadership through clear and compelling narratives. This role requires proximity to our hubs in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or San Francisco, with an emphasis on candidates embodying a growth mindset, humility, and a high-impact drive.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied statistics within marketing, growth, or advertising domains
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python (or R) for data manipulation, modeling, and analysis
  • Experience with marketing measurement techniques such as Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), incrementality testing, and causal inference
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing ecosystems, including paid social, search, display, email, and affiliate channels
  • Proven ability to design and analyze A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex data analyses into clear, actionable insights
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and present findings to executive stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and interpret experiments to optimize marketing performance across multiple channels
  • Build and maintain attribution models to understand customer journeys and channel contributions
  • Develop forecasting and optimization tools to allocate marketing budgets effectively and predict campaign outcomes
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to develop data-driven audience segmentation and personalized messaging strategies
  • Establish scalable measurement frameworks for new marketing channels and campaigns
  • Present insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership in a clear and impactful manner
  • Continuously monitor and improve the accuracy of marketing measurement models and tools
  • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate innovative analytics techniques into marketing strategies
